I need to hook up a tach wire for a remote starter. The wiring diagram says that it's a white wire off of the ECM. Where's the ECM located in this truck? Do I have to pull the dash?

Thanks in advance!

Great! I found the ECM Thanks fo the input. However I'm having trouble determing which wire is the tach. The diagram from the remote starter company says it's white. But there are three white wires. One going into a red (left side) connector and two going into the blue (right) connector.

PCM is behind the glove box. I would not install the wire into the PCM unless you really know what you are doing. I don't think you do, so I suggest this. Lift the air cleaner off the TBI unit to access the coil. Look at the primary connections to the coil, there are two pink and two white wires. This is the white wire you need. Not always, but most of the time there is a connector hanging here that is not connected to anything or maybe taped to the wiring loom in the area. This is a tach connector we use when hooking scopes or tachs up to a motor when diagnosing things. If you have one of these connectors, attach your connection to it. If not, splice the wire onto one of the white wires.

Yup it is behind the glovebox.

A few screws to remove to get the glovebox liner out.

Then you will see the silver box - that's it.

If you open the glove box it should be behind it .It would be sitting on the box that controlls you ac and heating .
