Your question is ridiculous. It's like asking, "What's better, Jiffy Lube or Sak's Fifth Avenue?" You're trying to compare a mango to an apple...Silly.
You are comparing two different business models. Starbucks sells coffee drinks. That's their mainstay and Mcdonalds sells burgers and fries and sausage biscuit sandwiches
I must admit that I go to Starbucks and I would have to say Starbucks even though this is a ridiculous comparison because Starbuck's atmosphere is so much better than McDonalds.
Now I am well aware that some Starbucks sell sandwiches, fresh fruit juice, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cookies, but that is not the bulk of what they sell, nor is it what they are famous for.

I would definitely go for Starbucks. That's the first place that i go to every time I travel to the US. Unfortunately, there is no Starbucks where i live and that really sucks (however. we have two MacDonald's that i never go to).
