Sure we can, by either locking every uncouth, corrupt, unhygenic or by upgradding our educational system so that everyone recives an education. Do you think with the kind of population and the mind set Indians have, it would be possible?
Tourism in India, is one of the best platforms for our country, yet no time is given to the historical monuments that are our rich heritage. Not only the monuments, but the area around them is of crucial importance. You want to attract people from such hygenically concious countries, you'll need to clean up your act and the area, so that tourists don't find
1. People unrinating anywhere they think is ok
2. Keep the areas absolutely clean of any garbage
3. Beggers/hawkers strictly off such areas so that they don't annoy them.
4. Historical Markets like Chandani Chowk, really need a overhaul. I can't believe such important places of worship are kept is such terrible condition.
5. Roads repaired/ garbbage cleared/dustbins everywhere, and big fines for people caught littering.
6. It is the duty of everyone to keep his house clean, you throw garbbage here and there, you don't care about what other countries think of you.
7. Corruption is the biggest turn off!
8. People are coming from all over, and so deserve to be to be treated with care and respect, as they are partialy reposible for the growing ecnomical boom. Therefore it's the duty of every citizen to see that they are not harmed, cheated or bothered by bad elements.

To Start with The Government should need to Know What the tourists want. There are different types of Tourists comming to India. Not most of them are rich. They come with certain amount of money and have a fixed budget. We have Very High quality hotels in Big Cities. What we lack is proper Simple affordable , Safer Staying places and good quality food at reasonable costs for the people who come to remotest tourist places of India. For this we have to make some plans with local people Who are willing to accomadate them in their houses. We must teach them, What common facilities they need to accomadate foreigners, and the stable food for the foreigners. Most of the Foreigners like Indian food But less Spieceier is Preferable. These are simple things which can be taught. The Government also give subsidy for these people to develop facilities. So that the Government can have a list of People in a Particular Tourist spot who can accommadate foriegners at a reasonable cost In the long run it will help both of them. ( The Foreigners as well as the host) This is the area if it is properly planned will do lot of economic revolution in small towns of India.

the basic requirement to increase tourism in INDIA is to develop proper infrastructural base like proper transport facility-airways,railways etc.secondly there should be proper highlighting of our monuments, cultural places, hill stations ,industrial sites through media.for this we need to make our bollywood movies in our own country so thst people residing abroad can have a look of our nations speciality and come to our country.moreover there should be reduction in the rates of tickets for the tourist coming from distant places.there must be establishments of various resorts&hotels in the tourism sites so that the tourist may not face much problem.there should be arrangement of proper guide who must know english along with one international lang.there should be short scale parties and functionsin the tourist place to attract more of tourist.throug these parties we should try to show a glimpse of our culture & good living to them.and last but the most imp.we should show a great respect and kindness to them so that they may never forget tour to our country and would come again & again.
