Considering the numerous 'pardons' executed by past presidents, could this be done, remembering the "Execative Previlage".
(sorry my spell check is not working this a.m.)

No, he can not pardon himself. The incoming president traditionally pardons the outgoing president of all offenses committed while in office, regardless of political party.

This is done to protect the theory of Executive Privilege. Or in layman's terms, the Incoming President wants the tradition to continue in case he has to commit an offense while in office.

The sitting President is also immune from civil suits while in office, so he can concentrate on matters of Government. The statute of limitations on filing suits stops running until the president leaves office and then resumes.

The active President can not pardon themselves. The following President can, though.
