I have to admit to being very desensitised these days, not that I watch or indeed enjoy violence, but I have a real problem suspending my disbelief for films and TV, and I know they are just actors pretending, and I never get past that.
And then when I see it on the news, I am as equally excepting that this is how the world is, and while I'm disappointed, I'm never shocked or surprised
So is there too much? I hardly notice it while it's there these days..

Its how you percieve it, if you really look at the media in whole it is but a fraction of everything out there, but still a part of everything. It just seems like there is more of it because it is the stuff we focus on.
