1) Failure to properly provide funding for the war effort, jeopardizing troops well being and ability to carry out missions.
2) Failure to provide a path forward for immigrants to gain citizenship
3) Failure to approve President Bush's plans for this country

One of the more recent things is to override a veto. Other things were to pass those issues Speaker Pelosi said they would in their first month. They have attempted to pass many things for the people but the Republicans don't seem to care about the will of the people so many of those bills fall short. If by some chance they are passed Dubya vetos and the GOPers in Congress don't have the guts to override except the one bill. They are starting to come around to the people's will because elections are nearing. But it won't be enough the Democrats will win the White House and increase their margin in both chambers of Congress.

They forced Bush to change strategy on Iraq. They forced a lot of White House corruption out into the open. They stopped several Bush appointees.

Dispite what the Republicans claim, this is a democracy. Investigation and prosecution of criminals is a good thing and American freedoms are worth defending.

They have held an ungodly number of meaningless hearings on the war in Iraq. They have passed legislation for SCHIP and embryonic stem cell research knowing that the president would veto them so that they could attack him for it. They have sold out or military and pandered to the loony tune left wing of the Democrtic Party.

They've slowed the American economic Free-Fall that has happened since Neocon policies have been in place without dissent. It's not better, but at least it's not getting much worse.
