My period ended about 2 weeks ago. I woke up this morning, went to the bathroom, and it looked as if my period was back again. I put a tampon in for a few minutes while I did some research on the internet. Found out it could be a miscarriage, so I took a pregnancy test - it was negative. I took the tampon out before I took the test and now there is no blood. The other options are it is just my period being irregular or it's implantation bleeding. I know implantation bleeding is rare and if it was that, wouldn't it show up on the pregnancy test? Let me know your thoughts.

A woman usually ovulates about 2 weeks after her period. It seems way too early to be PG (although I am sure it has happened)... normally implantation happens 6-10 days after ovulation, around the time when a period is usually due. Once I did have bleeding when I ovulated, but it has never happened since. You could also be having mid-cycle bleeding due to hormonal problems. Any mid-cycle bleeding needs to be investigated by an OBGyn, just in case it's an infection or worse. Not to worry you, it really is probably nothing, but just get it checked out just in case.

There could be several reasons.

Also, you can have a false negative on a pregnancy test.

If you are worried about pregnancy talk to your doctor or take another test a week or two from now.

I had this same problem before. I went to my doctor and he told me that stress can cause it. Take a look at your life and whether or not there are any stress factors affecting you.

Best of luck to you!
