You can add, subtract, multiply, divide or use powers eg 4 to the power of 4. I have got every number up to 20 except 19. You can also stick digits together e.g 44 or 444.

Answer by Big Head uses 5 fours and so does sahsjing.
To get 19 you have to use factorial (you don`t mention if you can) . Factorial is denoted by ! and means you multiply a number by all the integers that are less than or equal to it until you get to 1
So 4!=4*3*2*1=24

If you use this 19=4!-4-(4/4).

It is possible. But you won't get exactly 19, very close to 19.
4 to the power 2.12396376
Try using a calculator and verify this yourself.

You can use integer function.
-int[4 - 4*4ln4] = 19
You can check my answer with any calculator with integer function.

I don't think 4! is a good choice, since it actually involves 4*3*2*1.
