I've run Vista on a 900Mhz processor. A 1.46Ghz will run it....ok....2GB of ram will help.

But "SLOW" is subjective. Depends on what you intend to use it for. For basic word processing, listening to music, etc just about any computer will work fine. If you're looking to do photo editing or video editing, you probably won't be too happy. If you're talking about the speed of the Internet, the speed of the computer has nothing to do with that AT ALL. Internet speed and the speed of the computer processing it's workload are two COMPLETELY different things.

I however agree with the other answerer that XP would be a better choice on this machine.

Hope that helps.

No, not slow at all. It will run fine, not FAST but the operating speed is acceptable with 2Gb of RAM between program transactions.

Probably won't even turn on, with only 2 mb of ram.

(unless you meant GB instead of MB....then you'll be fine..)

It will be a little slow. It would be better if I knew if the CPU was dual core or not. If it was it would be a little faster.

eh,
it will be pretty tricky with vista.
there are only two stock computers that can efficently run vista.
i would get it and just install XP on it.
