Sure I will join. Just let us know, I do think that one of the answerers is right and that it should begin with a meditiation that will ground and protect. Let's see what will happen. My Mystic Familiar Group seems to be able to channel well throught the net so I do not see why not. Love the idea..

I have mediumistic abilities and I can receive messages from spirit, my guides or departed ones without any kind of seance ritual.
I also learned about seances and experienced some and yes you do bring in the lower spirits. These entities are not true spirit, they are thought forms which play tricks on you. Have enough of the same thought forms which collect in the lower astral planes, they actually manifest into an energy. One time I had this distinct feeling of something like a cool constant breeze curling around my legs and I felt real uncomfortable. Even when I had blankets over my legs I could still feel it. I realised some creepy energy had attached itself to me and so I ended up white lighting and having to get rid of this thing.
I had it for a few days, I thought am I imagining this? It was gone as soon as I white lighted.
I wouldn't recommend it, but I too wanted to know about it, so I did. So if you choose to, make sure you know how to properly and have experienced people. Heed the advice given by everyone.

I thought that opportunities for deception were ripe in a normal setting.
This is just asking for a couple of people to run a scam.
Talking to the dead is possible, just don't expect them to hear or answer. 'Cause they're dead. When you blow out a candle there isn't some essence of the fire that continues. Life is just a really controlled, complex fire. The added complexity of life doesn't somehow warp reality and change it. When the chemical reaction that is life is done, that is all she wrote.
But a seance is not communing with the dead. At best it is a con. At worst it is a bunch of ignorant and credulous people playing pretend, while denying to themselves what it is they are actually doing.

A seance? As in a circle, where you call up the dead? Yes, it is possible. Im in a group, where we're all psychic mediums, and 9 times out of 10, we have a deceased person try for contact. We're like a beacon for the other side.
i'm not interested in joining, but I just wanted to warn you... please please please do not do this without at least one medium strong enough to get rid of negative entities. If you open yourselves up you will attract them. Be sure to take precautions. If you're going to do it, please be safe about it. White light. Call on the Divine white light to surround you and protect you all. White candles (represents the white light). If someone happens to be Catholic or christian, bring a cross or a crucifix (don't bring one if it's not your faith or you'll anger the dark side). If all else fails, pray to St. Michael the archangel for protection or to banish anything that feels "icky". And the dark ones are tricky--they'll pretend to be your best friend in order to gain the trust of those who know no better. That's why it would be in your best interest to have a medium who knows what they're doing--to weed those things out. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble.

to really perform a seance , you would need to be in one area ( close quarters ) and something to attract what it is you are looking for . Not enough group power to get it going . Besides that there would be too many losers trying to figure out a way to scam or just be stupid .

I would sit in as a skeptic without bias. I find it a bit hard to grasp how the spirit would be responding.

I wouldn't mess with it. You might find yourself having to go to the mental health section to try to find an exorcist.

Doubt it's possible only b/c you'd never really know who you're meeting with and you KNOW there would be some liars out there claiming all sorts of stuff.
