Is Tobi the same person as Obito?

I'm tired of people saying OBITO DIED!!! What if he used a technique to survive, just like Deidera???

I mean, everyone thought Deidera died after that big explosion, it was also reported to the 4th hokage.

What if obito survived, just like Deidera?

DO YOU HAVE PROOF THAT HE DIED!!!?

MAYBE OBITO LEARNED A SHARINGON AND SURPASSED THE MANGEKO SHARINGON???

MAYBE THE 3rd LEVEL CAN MAKE HIM JUMP INTO THE PAST OR THE FUTURE, IT CAN MAKE HIM GO TO DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS?????? MAYBE HE CAN LIVE LONGER!!

FIrst of all, Deidara died. Pein is using his body to counter Jiraiya.
Obito is most likely Tobi cause he gave his right eye to Kakashi while his left eye was stuck under the rock, and the mask he's waering only reveals his left eye, still remain a mystery how he would survive if he's Tobi

I really don't get why people keep saying this. Obito is dead. Obito has not been mentioned again since the Kakashi Gaiden simply because he is a minor character used to build up a secondary character. Obito's only purpose was to show where Kakakashi got his sharingan from and also what made him the type of ninja he is. It's called character development (from a writers point of view).

Tobi himself claimed to be Uchiha Madara. His words were "..unlock the true power of the sharingan, My power, Uchiha Madara's power".. Why would he be talking about himself all of a sudden and then start talking about someone else? Speaking of yourself in the 3rd person is a common japanese idiom used by villian in manga.

Secondly Jiriaya states he believes Uchiha Madara is still alive and was possibly the one to summon the 9 tails 15 years ago. Then the very next panel was Tobi sitting on top of the head of the Uchiha Madara statue in the valley of the end. I don't know how more subtle of a hint you can get. Plus not to mention Kyuubi specifically told Sasuske when he entered Naruto's mind "Your eyes are more sinister than that of the one Uchiha Madara"... That would confirm Jiriaya's suspicions that Uchiha Madara was the one to summon Kyuubi 15 years ago which would have been when Kyuubi saw his eyes.

If that isn't clear cut proof then nothing else is..

Obito on the other hand had half his body crushed under a rock.. then gave up one of his eyes because he knew he was dying (if it was a replacement jutsu like deidara used or a clone it would have poofed because they can't take a direct hit)... then after giving his eye a second landslide of boulders fell on him. The only way he would have survived that is if he was to magically gain superhuman healing powers and superhuman strength to push the ton of boulders on top of him to escape.

If you look at the pictures of Uchiha Madara he always has a bang of hair covering one eye so that would explain the one eye thing with the mask.

Then on top of that Tobi was the second most self-rightous good guy since naruto so why would he become an evil, power hungry megalomaniac hell bent on world domination? Obito is nothing like Tobi's playful and naive ruse side.. and definately not like the serious side that is really pulling the strings behind Akatsuki. So why the complete personality change? There are just too many holes..

face it Tobi is dead... no mater how much you wish him alive, he is dead.. DEAD. He was pronounced dead... grave and all.

Similar hair and one eye isn't enough proof to bring Obito back from the dead and say he is Tobi.. especially with so many subtle hints IN THE MANGA that show that is he Madara. Until Obito's name gets mentioned again in the same sentence of Akatsuki, Tobi or Alive... he will be assumed dead lol.

Obito Is dead. He died of his injuries after having a large rock crush half of his skull, he had his friend Rin transfer his Sharranigan eye to Kakashi as his last act, Kakashi mourns him every week,

Tobi's real identity is Uchiha Madara and he is related to Sasuke and Itachi, he is also the "true" leader of the Akatsuki, and is believed to have been the one who summoned Kyubbi the Nine-tailed fox that attacked Konoha.

Dude,Tobi himself stated that he was Uchiha Madara.He was talking to himself so he couldn't have lied.If Obito could've survive.So could Uchiha Madara.

Even though Uchiha Shisui was a minor character.People seems to forget about him.
