State Politics

National Politics

A healthy mix of both?

I'd say I'm 70/30 state/national

I pay attention to federal, state and local issues pretty equally. This is because all have potential major effects on my life in one way or another. I am not a Democrat or a Republican though. I am an independent. The party system has become ridiculous in this country and there is just not that much difference between the two anymore that I can see. Except when you are talking about the most extreme among them.

Both, but state politics is usually pretty bad stuff. However these last 4-6 years national had state beat.

National, 100%. I've lived in a lot of states, and at the state level, by and large, it's a different conversation - the stakes and resources are totally different, and most issues are valence issues anyway.

I'd say I was 80% repub, 20% dem but that has changed under this administration.
I think I'm still rep at heart but I don't see anything that represents the repub platform with this administration.
I also think I've been delusional about my party if this is what the republicans are really about.
I think Bush has trashed America so badly that it will take a bleeding heart liberal to clean up the mess he's made. America needs alot of TLC and I don't see it coming from Neocons.

Politics has nothing to do with it. I focus on beliefs, values, and morals. I look at the candidate and what the person stands for.

I support Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. They are the candidates that are for average Americans like myself.
The U.S. economy performs the best when there are a variety of industries and jobs. Right now, it's pretty slim and it changes too rapidly. Jobs are way too specialized and there is too much competition for the few jobs there are.

our founding fathers argued for a weak federal government and a stronger local government. the only thing the federal government should be doing is defending us and preserving our freedoms.......so I'm Libertarian/Conservative. Democrats and Republicans have put the party before ideology

International..... Work. It's that simple. I want good middle-class jobs, and our wages to go up, and our dollar to do well against other currencies.
