I have heard the heartbeat twice and it was 155 bpm . no bleeding or cramping..but I just want to know how likely it is after 15 weeks. Does the risk drop significantly after the first trimester?

the risk does drop, but there is always that slight chance, i was worried too. i had a miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks, and when i got pregnant again, i worried every day and still do, and im 36 weeks. JUST relax and dont worry, i am sure every thing will be fine! CONGRATS!

The risk drops significantly at 12 weeks because all the basic organs and everything are formed, the rest of the pregnancy is them developing fully and the baby growing. If you are 15 weeks and everything is healthy, then the chances of you having a miscarriage is very low. So relax =)

Yes the risk drops significantly after the first trimester. It also lowers again after week 20. Try not to worry about it. (I know it's easier said than done). Keep going to your appointments and be reassured every time you get to hear the heart beat. Take Care.

After the first trimester it drops significantly. I was also told that after you hear the heartbeat it drops down even more. But, not to scare you, you technically aren't out of the woods until 20 weeks. But to me, it sounds like your baby is doing just fine. =) Congrats!!!

After the first trimester the chances for miscarriage reduces considerably. Take a little time to read the sources I posted. They should help..

I believe the risk decreases significanly once you can hear the heartbeat, which is around 15-16 weeks.

The risk drops. I did have a friend who lost her twins at 20 weeks.

the chances significantly improve the further along you get.

I wouldnt worry too much about miscarrying now - as there is a heartbeat and you are quite far along.

Stress can affect pregnancy!!

your risk lower when they find the heart beat, and then after the first trimester. As you get further along, the chances get lower and lower.
