Sorry I mean how do you open the CPU on a sharps laptop and remove the back up battery

As mentioned. This the CMOS Battery you thinking of. Most you turn the laptop upside down and remove a small panel. You should see the battery. One panel will be your RAM. So, if you see RAM cards then open the other panel. Some laptops (I not familiar with yours), you may slide out the CD/DVD Drive and see the battery. You can see the little slide clip you move to remove the CD/DVD.

If you mean the BIOS battery then you will need to find the manual for your laptop. It will be a small circular lithium battery somewhere on the motherboard, but may be in another compartment. It has nothing to do with the CPU.
