the manager said he had to cut back and I was the only one cut but replace by two in house employee and the labor increase I think it was a plot to get me out of a job ,how can I get legal help

This is a very difficult task as there are little to no laws that protcet you in situations like this. The only time you can really seek remedies against the employer is if you have documented evidence that your seperate was discriminatory and/or malice intent.

Most regulatory agencies and judges want to see that you explored remedies on your own prior to involving other parties. I would investigate your matter on your state Department of Labor website to identify if you have a sustainable gripe to pursue.

Sorry to hear that, but we are in the same boat! Just two weeks ago, I e-mailed schedulers to mark Christmas week off and successfully got the week off, then two days later I got a call from manager that I was 'let go'...how ironic?! The manager stressed that I've done 'outstanding' job, and a lot more people in our group were laid off, because the company is hiring more interperters that earn their pay by minutes (I forgot the term for this). We are just dispensible at the company's wish. I don't know, for me, after the holiday break I will look for a better job with more respect (to make me feel better, I guess)

If you are in the US, you are most likely under employment at will which means they can fire you without even giving a reason as long as it's not because of something like race or gender. If you have an employment or union contract, it would spell out what recourse you have, otherwise you don't have legal recourse.

Sometimes employers decide to fire someone, but call it a cutback to spare the employee's feelings and to let them collect unemployment compensation.

if it is a work force reduction you really have no case, collect UB and look for another job
