Yes, in fact most doctors say 2-3 cups of coffee every morning is fine, so 1 espresso drink each week is perfectly ok.
The key is moderation.
Congrats!

Some people are going to tell you any caffeine is bad for the baby, but my midwife suggested have a cup of coffee a day to regulate bowel movements. If you read up on caffeine intake you will most likely find sources say 2 cups of a coffee a day is fine.

it should be fine, but remember just because someone else drinks caffeine during their pregnancy and their baby comes out fine, doesnt mean it will be the same for u, not saying if u drink it, ur baby will come out with all sorts of complications, but to be on the SAFE SIDE, u should drink in moderation like everyone else but also keep in mind all pregnancies and babies are different...but on a positive note, 1 caffeinated drink a week should be okay, just dont over do it...hope that helps and good luck on the pregnancy!!

Do I would desire to provide up caffeine now that i'm pregnant? no longer unavoidably. you are able to take excitement on your well-known caffeinated liquids as long as you do no longer overdo it. After years of controversy over the problem, maximum researchers now have self assurance that, in spite of the reality that caffeine does pass the placenta, reasonable quantities (decrease than 3 hundred milligrams an afternoon) won't injury your infant. that's approximately what you will get from only one strongly brewed 8-ounce cup of espresso. submit to in ideas that the quantity of caffeine in a cup of espresso varies extensively in keeping with how reliable it fairly is, and that your serving length relies upon on how enormous your mug is — a typical mug holds approximately 10 oz. Many pregnant women shrink their intake much greater or decrease out caffeine thoroughly. If that seems smart to you, you will no longer get any arguments out of your midwife or healthcare expert.

Yes that is fine. I still had the odd coke or capuccino and I drank a bit of iced coffee too. I pretty much cut it out more in the earlier stages of my pregnancy and then had a little bit of caffeine in the later stages. My friend on the other hand just gave birth to her second child TODAY and she drank HEAPS of coke and iced coffee through her pregnancies and her children are relatively ok. I wouldn't take the risk of going overboard though but once a week should be 100% fine

a shot of espresso is probably ok ONCE a week. You can have a cup of coffee or caffinated soda every day, but espresso has a lot more caffeine in it. Limit that.

Yup, I'm a caffeine junkie, and my doc told me I'd be fine with one cup of coffee, and 1 can of caffeinated soda per day.

Neest research shows that up to 2 or 3 a DAY does no harm. Although, I think espresso has more caffiene than a soda or regualr coffee? So just take that into account.

My doctor told me i can have two caffeine drinks a day provided they are not right after each other. You should be just fine, just don't overdue it.
