I hear a lot of Conservatives yapping about it, so why don't they yell at Bush?

pjlisa13-Then why didn't he just lie again like he did to get us into Iraq. Could it have something to do with brother Jeb's wife being Hispanic?

Bill C-It's not the Congress! It's "big business" who likes cheap labor and we all know the party that likes to protect "big business".

hunting_-So you're saying that it is a myth that Conservatives support "big business"? Laughable.

Michael M-Yes, he has mentioned it in passing, but never anything with any substance. His "big business" friends profit much to much for Bush to act on the real illegal immigrant problem. And besides, his sister-in-law (brother Jeb's wife) is Hispanic.

He only cares about big business and does not give a sh*t about US citizens being able to make a living. For years our country did quite well without:

* importing massive numbers of slave wage laborers and
*exporting jobs that we need

The more economically devastated US citizens are, the easier it is to confuse us and chip away at our Constitution. We will be too tired working 3 jobs that pay 1.00/hr due to the glut of workers to pay attention.

Bush also does not get the environmental impact of more people = less water, more garbage, more sewage, expensive housing etc... destruction of farmland.

He also does not want to deal with the endemic corruption that keeps Mexico oppressed and then theres that El Salvador that Reagan & Co helped to f*ck up.

He tried to completely legalize them.

It doesnt solve the problem, or help in any way, but it would have made the problem disappear because it would be even harder to measure. That is the secret to his success--dont solve anything, just hide it. If only he could have learned something from Clinton-he was able to hide our problems while making them worse also, but people liked him while he did it.

Neither party wants to stop illegal immigrants. The Dems would lose the Sugar industry in South Florida. They would lose the beef industry out west (which makes huge contributions to both parties). The list goes on and on. Both parties are controlled by Big Business at the most basic level. The good of the people and the desires of the people come after, otherwise the candidate cant get funding even run again, much less get voted in.

Because Bush is to busy denying that there is an environmental crisis. Because this is a political question that involved a whole lot of liberals and hispanic voters. Because big business, who wants these people because of the low wages thay can pay without complaints, Social security payments, taxes, deductions and all the other book keeping that legal workers require. The illegals do work for much less than citizens. They provide greater profit for those who use them. When the INS enforces the laws about hiring illegals, when the police are allowed to arrest illegals (Who are breaking the law), when employers are forced to pay all workers equally for the job rating - THEN someone will do something serious about the illegals. Until then it is (Big) business as usual.

People like you should know the answer: He is perfecting his weather machine to cause chaos for the U.S. he is ready to march on Ethiopia, he is busy getting O.J. and Brittany in trouble, he is spending all of the money he is making from Iraqi oil, he is pestering Hugo Chavez.
Too bad your blind hated won't let you see the real world. I know you think he can cause earthquakes, what makes you think He and he alone can do anything like this? You need to get out more and maybe read some news now and then. What would you have him do? If he gave YOU a million dollars and a candy buy you would complain about the candy bar. So there is no answer to your question that would satisfy you.
Why are you so devisive. I never said a word about Democrats. I have been nuetral all along. Sorry you are so touchy.

IF memory serves me correctly Bush has said he wanted to do something about Illegal immigration. The problem that nothing is getting done even with his help is that both sides disagree some or most of what he is advocating should be done. Let's all remember that the Republican controlled House of before '06 wanted to say that all illegal aliens were criminals.

Plenty of conservatives ARE upset with both the president and congress for the lack of progress on illegal immigration.

I would imagine that he hasn't taken more action because Big Business wants the cheap labor and that takes precedence over what the little people think is important.

Because "conservatives" (in this case, you're talking about republicans looking for re-election) and Bush don't agree about illegal immigration. Bush supports a guest worker program combined with a long-term path to citizenship for some of the currently illegal immigrants. These yapping conservatives want to build a new Berlin Wall on the border, shoot anyone who tries to cross, while simultaneously rounding up th 15 million illegal immigrants (not sure how or with what police force, but whatever) and send them...somewhere.

Because he doesn't have the mental capacity to. He is a mental midget with no idea about how things work. If his puppetmaster Cheney isn't holding Bush on his lap and moving his mouth, the poor man can't talk.

He doesn't care anyway.....Wouldn't surprise me a bit if he passed blanket amnesty for all undocumented immigrants right before he leaves office. That's what he wants anyway.
