Im 15 weeks pregnant with 2nd one and feel sooo bad...i had terrible morning sickness till about 10w and since then i haven't had any energy at all...But like today and once or twice a week for the last 4 weeks i feel really horrid and not right at all...I am (every day) very faint and dizzy, even if i lye down on the bed/sofa with closed eyes it's all spinning..and i feel sooo sick, not just the typical morning sickness but like i'vehad a stomach upset for days..and my body is cold and sometimes shivery and it feels like ive been in bed with a fever for days (don't have a fever)...Ive been on extra iron supplements for three weeks in case my hg is a bit low (was with my last one, never felt bad with her) but no change...has anyone else felt like this? It really knocks me out and i need a sofa break between everything i do....
Any advise is appreciated x

It could be that with the increased blood volume due to pregnancy and the extra load on your heart you are experiencing dizziness. It's not uncommon. My mother and aunt both fainted quite frequently throughout their pregnancies but had no complications and had healthy babies.

However, since this was not happening before, in your first trimester, I would still call your doctor or at least chat with the nurse about it. They might want to check your blood pressure.

Hang in there!

oh i know how you feel. i was exactly the same with my 2nd. got very sick about 15 weeks into my pregnancy and just stayed in bed for a week. obviously there isnt alot you can take when you feel in when preg. I used to get very dizzy and tired too and it was partly coz i was aneamic but i also had low blood sugar. have they tested your bloods yet? if not, at your next appointment mention how you feeling and they should check. apart from resting regularly and eating frequent small meals there isnt anything else i can suggest. All the best!

well, there are so many unfortable experinces realted to pregnancy that differs from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. i may understand that u feel sick , weak, but if u feel very lithargic and dizzy, or breathless it could be due to low bp , or low iron levels , u should have ur blood test to confirm everything is in normal range.
secondly check ur weight, compare it with when u just got pregnant and now.. if u have lost 3 or more kgs call ur gp.
im preg now , and at 15 weeks i lost 4 kgs from my actual weight at the time i conceived and was checked by gp.
i am now in 31st week , had been so dizzy , down and lithargic , and at my last vsiti to midwife i was diagnosed aneamic, and had very low bp.
so its always better to be safe then sorry.. book appointment with ur gp, have ur all tests once again
gudluck
and congratsssssss

for energy, drink home made pure juice of 4 carrots and 1 apples and others veg and fruits if you like (buy a good machine for it), don't take sugar or sugary things, take honey instead. Raw food can give you all the nutrients that your body is craving , since it doesn't destroy with the process of cooking.

for blood, eat spinach

for morning sickness, dring a glass of mint tea. It has to be fresh leaves and made the tea at home and drink it soon after you have your meal.

take as much rest you feel like, dont do what you don't feel like doing .

I've had 5 & felt very odd with number 2. I had a racing heart for no reason - had to have x-rays on chest as they thought I had a blood clot in my lung, had arterial blood taken & all sorts of test but nothing wrong. Sometimes I think pregnancy just does funny things to you & all pregnancies are different. As long as your blood tests are coming back okay I shouldn't worry.

Get yourself to a doctor or midwife for a check up - you could have an ear infection/vertigo and need a course of anti biotics to clear it or just a virus.

Unfortunately it could also be a reaction the iron tablets etc

Every pregnancy is different. What you are describing sounds like extreme pregnancy symptoms. However it dosen't sound dangerous.

Have you had an u/s? If not you could be carrying twins which will make your symptoms worse. If you know you aren't carrying twins, tell your dr how bad your symptoms are. Perhaps s/he can do something about it.

I would tell your GP or midwife about your symptoms and they may test you or prescribe you with something to make you feel better. I would imagine it is related to your pregnancy, even unborn babies suck the life outa ya!! Get checked out to be on safe side.

Like everyone else said it may very well be related to your pregnancy, but to be sure, go see your physician. It could be the iron, it could still be the hormones, it may also be gestational diabetes, problems with the thyroid or it could be stress.
