In my view, the extent of acceptance measures happiness and the extent of happiness measures success. Sounds cryptic, but do please spare a thought over this and you would see the truth in it.

According to me Happiness and success are different for different people and the measuring yardstick for them is also different. Happiness is a very personal thing as it varies according to your interests. For some people playing with their kids makes them happy whereas for others making money is a source of happiness. Success is rather relative term but like happiness it too depends on the way we look at it.

Happiness is measured based on happenings. Therefore, one will find happiness when what is happening around him/her is of favor to them. By the way, Joy is different from happines.

Success is measured by the line that is either put by yourself or by others. Usually, we all follow the general view point of success. So when one thinks they have reach a certain point of greatness, that is success. But of course, we can never succeed in every aspect of our lives.

Success you measure by your own standards. Happiness is more elusive, but I think it has to do with doing what you want to be doing. Hence, the two are hard to separate. Perhaps Bob Dylan said it best:

A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.

intensity of eperience is the measuring parameter of 'HAPPINESS' while success is measured by the magnitude of the leap you take from your previous status..commonly happiness is conditioned by success..there is indeed a possibility of happiness not conditioned by success..
