I have a daughter with my second husband. He used to tell me that my first husband was a fool for giving up on his daughterand that he would never. That if we divorced it would be war for custody. These were remarks he made while we were getting along. Sadly I have to divorce him because he left me then begged me not to divorce him when he lived across town. Then he ran into the military at 35 and forgot me and his daughters were even alive. He has been gone 4 months and comes back to town next week. I saw where he rented hotel rooms and went to strip clubs and spent outrageous amounts of money on weekend passes about 400 a weekend!! So no amount of begging not to divorce will work it's over. Even though i'm sure i'll win the custody b-cuz i'm a good mom i still wonder should i move away as seeing him once a week will be hell and i'll always b worried he'll drag me back into court or even steal my daughter Lately he has made remarks about hating me.

I think he will do this to make me miserable. Plus he will be getting his two yr old in front of my 7 yr old who he told me he wouldn't visit because that is his stepdaughter i know this will hurt her that she can't go. Is moving a good idea? As i know he won't disappear like my 7 yr olds dad did because he is a control freak ect plus he kinda told me in conversation without directly telling me.

the reason he made remarks about hating me was because i tryed to get him introuble with military because i feel he used me for greencard we were married 3 yrs but he got his card last march and left me on mothers day 2 months later! Anyways i think he found out i tryed to get him into trouble because i called commander srgt major ect. I think they talk to him and told him. next week should be exciting as i think a custody war ect is about to start when he gets back to our home town I really don't know what will happen. On break from military.

I know how you feel. I've been there & done it...literally!!! If you feel it would be the best thing for you and your children then do it!! Write a letter to the court informing them of your decision to move then do it. He has 30 days to contest it if there is child support being paid. I wish you the best of luck & let me know what you decide.

It might be harder to get the divorce from another state, but I would definately relocate without leaving a forwarding address for him... and also get that good lawyer that others have suggested. Have the lawyer do all correspondence with him.... You stay out of it and just try to get your life back in order.

I left the state due to divorce and it just made things more difficult for me because I had to keep going back to the original state for divorce hearings...

In this case I think not only should you get far far away but then get yourself a very good lawyer. This guy sounds very scary and I would have all my bases covered if I was you. Good luck and my prayers are with you.
