Is there any chance of getting rights back, adopt the child back? Someone had blamed something on me and dss got involved now they got custody and the time went by so fast that what they wanted isn't done so now the adoption process begins. I don't want this to happen and want to keep my child thats why I ask is there a posibility of regaining parental rights?

In the US, adoption severs all biological parental ties.

you have no more legal rights once adoption is finished whatever rights you have are of the sole discretion of the grandmother now mother

added: to answer the second part if it is still in process you can request the court to stop the adoption and return your child to you..they don't grant this very often but it can happen
BUT if the adoption has already completed there is nothing you can now do unless your mother wants to give you back your child but then dss could intervene again and take the child from both her and you, if they are feeling crabby (and they usually are)

when any child is adopted by another person weather it be relative or strangersl, the birth parents technically lose all rights to that child. The adoptive parents have all and final say over that child and the birth parents have no rights.

I am going through this with my sister. We are adopting her oldest and her youngest and she will no longer have any choices or decisions on what we do with them or where we take them or etc.,. If she tries to kidnap them we can have her arrested.

Adopted children are just like they are made your children. You have rights over them just like you would your own biological children.

So again, the birth parents would lose all rights over that child.

Basically, the child becomes your Sister or Brother. They are now legally the grandmothers (your Mothers) child. She can make any decisions regarding them. The birth parents gave up all parental rights when the child was adopted.
Note: You added while I was answering. The courts would need to make the decision of returning your parental rights.

It depends on the situation that was present when the child was adopted. Normal visitation, if it doesn't upset the child would be acceptable.

You should talk with your legal advisor. Different situations call for different "rights."

In my case, nothing changed except the father had to pay me child support. He never visited in the first place so that wasn't a consideration. His mother is my daughter and there has never been a concern with her.
