either way one sex is just as guilty as the other for cheating. If men or woman feel this need, it means that they are not happy, and they need to move on, to prevent the continuous hurt that they cause to their partner. It becomes sad when children are involved. because they suffer so much in silence, and therefore later in life such as their teen years, they turn their anger and hurt for it into saying......well they did not love or care about me, so why should I care about them. and they then choose to do things that they think are hurting thier parents, like they hurt them. By this I mean, the kids get into the wrong groups, the choose to do risky things like drugs and alcohol. And sure it hurts the parents to see this happen, but the damage that is being done is to themselves. and it is so sad to see.

Based on what I was taught in my Psychology class. Statistically women are 10% less likely to cheat than men. The rate for women is 60% and 70% for men. Based on several studies by different psychologist.
There is a belief by many psychologist that men are more open about having affairs than women so the actual percent of women having affairs may be closer to the same as men.
That tells who the women are that 70% of the men are having affairs with.
Along this same line is the hard fact that DNA testing show 10% of the children in divorce cases do not belong to the man who thinks he is the father.
I guess that means if you live in a small town you have a 1 in 10 chance of marrying your sibling.

IMHO: Marriage: wrong to cheat plus an obligation to provide a secure enviroment for the marriage. Your spouse must feel safe and secure. That means no secret email accounts, locked cell phones, or anything else that makes the uncomfortable Engagement: Basically the same as marriage, might as well get used to it! "Committed relationship": If both have agreed to be exclusive then cheating is wrong but both should be allowed certain privacies. If you want to start seeing other people, then say so up front, you are not ready to be exclusive and there is no fault in that

That depends on what you mean by cheat?
If you are talking about having a sexual affair, men probably are more guilty but not by much these days. Women, who have to have more emotional involvement to engage in sex, find it more difficult to move in that direction on a casual basis. Thus men are more equipped, emotionally speaking, for cheating.
If you are talking about unfaithful in other ways, like lying about things, faking orgasms, even flirting, and other ways of compromising true "fidelity" then I think women are a lot more guilty. This lack of fidelity on women's parts, I believe is the number one reason for marital problems. Rather than being straightforward and confronting marital problems in an effort to take some responsibility for them and their cure, women avoid the conflict and end up sabotaging the relationship in the process.
Neither are good.

I think women cheat a whole lot more than is thought. I think that women are just better at not getting caught than guys. Plus if you throw in the large number of stay at home housewives who have ample opportunity it would not shock me to find out that women do indeed cheat more than men.
Of course I may be biased... my wife cheated and was caught in the act f'n two guys at the time. It eventually came out that she had cheated for years with a number of guys and even some ladies and I had no clue(suspected at times but she would make it out that she was the injured party by my asking and I had no proof). She ran off with her latest guy or girl 5 months ago...

i think men that cheat are selfish. Thats why they don't end marriage because the wife meets needs the mistress can't and the mistress meets needs the wife can't. They want to have their cake and eat it to. I think that men cheat more or women just don't get caught as much because men don't have a clue what is going on around them a lot of the time.

I'd say it's equal. But it's always easiest for the woman to find a person to cheat with unless the guy is one of those hot guys that should have stayed single for all eternity. Single women cheat alot with married men as well. But hey...we are just making up for other countries who would die to have this freedom.

From what I've seen, women cheat more than men. But anecdotes don't prove anything.
I also tend to associate with "good" guys, so they're usually not the ones who are disloyal. And they have a higher tolerance for bad behavior... unfortunately.
Eventually all the *intelligent* good guys learn to spot a b*tch a mile away and avoid them like the plague. I had my b*tch education a long time ago. And I've never looked back!
(And they wonder why we don't call them back after the first date - figure it out.)

Never really thought about it...But I guess that you hear of men cheat more often...the reason being women are more cunning and deceitful by nature so they do not get caught as frequently...and I am a woman...sorry ladies the truth hurts!
