I have felt pre-labor symptoms for some time now and today another one has popped up, nausea! I have had BH and back cramping along with extreme nausea this morning and last night after I ate. I feel as though I should go and make myself sick because it's gross! It's like I can smell vomit! Sorry but that's the best way I can describe it. I am just wondering if my little girl will be here soon ;) I sure hope so. I can't wait to meet her and I don't think that I can get any more miserable! Thanks!

Me too. For the past 4 or 5 days Ive been actually tasting it. Gross too but thats the way of it.

With my second I didnt feel this way until it was time to push, but then I actually threw up!

Trust me this is completely normal. All the stories of getting sick during labor are true for most people. I found that the way to keep from doing this is not to eat 24 hrs before you go in, but if you aren't being induced just watch for any signs of pre labor and stop eating immediately.

If you are having the BH then you should call your Dr. and see if they can get you in during the next few days. If you are far enough along, and having these pains. They may just go ahead if you want to and induce, they did for me at least. Usually you would start dilating and then when you have started dilating they will usually put you in the hospital, pop your water (if it hasn't happened naturally), and then put you on induction drugs. This is the last resort they will put you though.

I had it done with my first daughter in Dec. of 05 and I was in labor like 10 or so hrs. and had my daughter, so just call your doctor see if they can get you in, and ask what you options are, but don't opt for the induction unless they offer it to you.

I had diarrhea and felt nauseous right before going into labor, and then during labor I felt a little sick due to anxiety and nerves (not knowing what to expect). My midwife gave me some of those soft chews (antacids) and that helped settle my stomach.

Nausea was not a problem after that, even during transition and pushing.

Pain was my only problem then!

Sounds like you are close...when is your next apt?

Maybe you should call your doctor to have a check.
