it was damn funny. i couldn't stop laughing for minutes. it was even funnier if you read the question thrown at him that prompted his reply. it was so spontaneous.
one of these days, we'll have muttawas (religious police) arresting people for the sake of political correctness. now that won't be funny.

NO!!! Listen with a record like Phil Jacksons who cares- the man can say what he wants! People don't have to listen! Phil is the man- look at what he has done with his teams- yes our society is to sensitive-

Society has become too sensitive, and its gone down so far as that you can't even breath wrong to somebody because you might offend them in some way, either personally or religiously.
His apology should have been in better taste though. He has proven that he isn't funny, so he shouldn't even try to crack another joke.

To me- nope. Haven't seen the movie- and i am not gay...
i thought that his apology was even funnier: apologizing to cowboys, horses, etc. ("thanking espn.") It's just Phil being Phil and we all know that he wasn't trying to be offensive. i think most people understood it the way he said it.
i suppose if someone was gay they may be offended-- so Phil should know better in the future- just so he doesn't get suspended...

i guess if i was gay (which i'm not) i would be sort of offended but in our homophobic society, there are way more offensive anti-gay comments than what phil said. I thought it was hilarious in that he said it so nonchalantly.

It was offensive. If I was gay, I would be offended. It just wasn't necessary.
I don't think he deserves to be fined. A simple "hey be a little more PC,please" would of been sufficient.

No. And his apology was even funnier: "if I have offended any Cowboys, Texans, horses......" That was funny.
