The ultimate good is to forgive without feeling superior and the ultimate joy is winning a heart through humility.
I am speaking from personal experience of an incident right here at YA.

The ultimate good is know that we are all interconnected and what you do to others you also do to yourself.
The ultimate joy is something entirely different and possibly many different things to everyone. To me the ultimate joy is having sex exactly the way you want it with someone you love that wants the same thing you do. That kind of experience leaves you with the ability to nurture everyone and everything with all of the joy you now know. Some folks think sex may not be that important but we as humans must honor all of the many different parts of us that make us who we are.

As you can see from most of the answers, good and joy are totally subjective.
Thus, there is no "ultimate" good or joy.

I would say the ultimate joy is bringing a child into the world, while the ultimate good is bringing them up properly.

I think that the ultimate good is to put someones life completely before your own. I don't mean terrific acts of heroism, maybe just visiting your best friend in hospital even if you have to fly back off holiday in Egypt.
The ultimate joy would have to be bringing a child into the world and watching them grow knowing you made that life.

They say there are no ultimates- just like there are no absolutes.
All I know is that the source of these so-called ultimate good and ultimate joy is God alone. Or that He is the ultimate good and ultimate joy.
