It will likely be forgotten that Blair's misjudgements, ego and refusal to push Bush over a postwar plan has cost hundreds of thousands of lives more than necessary (including British lives lost in war and on 7/7).

If democracy arises people will forget the years of chaos intervening.

Annoying, no.

While the whole Iraq situation has been far from perfect one could argue that no war is. Do we ever question whether the Falklands War could have been prevented, and yet it was a glorious victory and we had a decade of Mrs Thatcher.

This is not a direct comparison but much as the Falklands is now an accepted moment in history, so will Iraq be.

If peace and democracy does settle then the Blair issues will not be annoying. The greater good will, well, be greater.

A bigger question is how will democracy in Iraq affect the balance in the middle east, especially given the possible development of uranium in Iran into weapons of mass destruction?

I don't think so. It is common knowledge now that Blair and Bush made a bloody big mistake, unfortunately they will never be held responsible ( in justice ) as for a democracy in that part of the world, I do not think so as it in their culture, another thing that that two goons forgot to think about

It just might be that you still have a head because of Tony Blair.
You better keep a watchful eye however, on some of the segment in your society, the beheaders may be nearer to you than Iraq!

Well, since Iraq had been in one war or another for the previous twenty, why wouldn't it be considered a success?
