Did you and your hubby get checked to see what the exact problem is?
Otherwise clomid may work for others and fail to some.
I took 3 rounds of clomid started with 50mg,100 mg and finally 150mg which got me pregnant.

It works for some and not for others. I was on clomid and up to a dose of 150 mg plus being on a high dose of metformin and it took me 7 months before I ever even ovulated, then still didn't get pregnant after 6 ovulatory cycles. I later found out that I had a polyp in my uterus which I had to have surgically removed which was part of the problem. I am back on a different medication called Femara (like Clomid) to try and ovulate again. Good luck! Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones that it works for.

In my opinion Clomid does work. I took it to get pregnant with my first child. Usually it takes two times on the medication to achieve pregnancy. Although we achieved pregnancy the first time around, it is different for every person.
Although there are slight risks in taking any fertility pill, the biggest one being multiples (regardless of your family history), there are others associated with it. Also there is a slightly higher risk as a woman ages. A woman in her thirty's has a high risk for the fetus developing down syndrome, but I am sure they will test you for that. Also the chance of multiples increases just slightly.
Good luck, it worked for my husband and I. Just take it easy and keep your stress to a minimal. The combination of a good diet, minimal stress, and fertility drugs will help you to win the race!

It worked for me! I hated being on it because it gave me huuuuge depression in the months when it worked for ovulation but not conception and I'd be in tears all through my period. But it did work. I got pregnant thee times on it, but two of them miscarried - the higher the dose of clomid the higher the chance of miscarriage. So it's a really tough ride.
My best advice is to make sure pregnancy doesn't dominate your relationship. There's no point being so focused on it that it damages the relationship you have with your partner and if you're stressed you're less likely to conceive. Consider taking a break from trying for a month or so to relax and just enjoy being together and then you'll be in a better state of mind to conceive.
