It's your wedding, do what YOU want.

I wouldn't wear a red dress for a summer wedding. I'd do that in the autumn or winter months. If you insist on another colour apart from white, why not try an ivory dress, with red detailing, or burgundy. Can understand where everyones coming from, but it's your day and you have to enjoy it to the max. Do what you want, but see how the groom feels as well!

I recently saw a show on weddings, and the bride surprised everyone with her red dress -- even her bridal party, on the wedding day. The bridal party wore white with red sashes I think, and she wore a ball gown red dress. People had mixed reactions as she walked down the isle. Is that the reaction you're willing to accept on your wedding day?

In my opinion, I would lean towards a traditional shade of white at least (even if it's blush or has a red accent on it, such as a red under layer or sash or red decorative flowers on it). And then later for the reception or after party you could switch into a red dress. But I would NOT do the all red or other color wedding dress for down the isle.

Omg if you can pull the color off go for it! If I had the skin tone I would be wearing a red wedding dress too! And remember, the wedding is YOUR day, not everyone else's! The only problem I foresee with this is your choice in bridesmaid dress colors.....Plus..red is the color of love!

I have seen dark red wedding gowns and let me say they were absolutely georgous. When I heard of it I too had the same reaction and thought it was not appropriate but then after seeing it I couldnt get over how beautiful it was.
Bottom line is its YOUR day and you shouldn't buy a dress to please your guests. Buy the dress that makes you the most happy and if a red dress is what does that then do so. You may go shopping for one try it on and then decide its not for you afterall but should you try one on and love it then I say get it. Good Luck

The point of a wedding is to get dressed up and show your friends and family that you love each other and want to be together forever. You should remind them of this and that it's YOUR wedding. It's your day and you should wear whatever you like. It's the meaning of the wedding that matters the most.

Good luck and I hope you have a fantastic wedding

The crimson roses might circulate super with burgundy clothing, regardless of the reality that that shade may well be somewhat dark for a summer season wedding ceremony. My pal had crimson and white roses and her b/maid clothing have been a delicate cappuccino shade - it won't sound very exceedingly yet they have been gorgeous! dark pink vegetation might look incredibly super against diminished lilac clothing. in case you seek for Dessy on your seek engine ( won't be able to bear in mind the handle!), they have each and every of the colour samples you're able to come to a decision from. that is well worth taking a glance! sturdy success!

i do not like the idea because when are you going ever to wear a beautiful and fluffy white dress if not on your wedding day. if you do not like white why don't you try off white or light pink
seriously do not wear a red dress in your wedding day, you are going to regret it

tradition says:

Married in White, you have chosen right,
Married in Blue, your love will always be true,
Married in Pearl, you will live in a whirl,
Married in Brown, you will live in town,
Married in Red, you will wish yourself dead,
Married in Yellow, ashamed of your fellow,
Married in Green, ashamed to be seen,
Married in Pink, your spirit will sink,
Married in Grey, you will go far away,
Married in Black, you will wish yourself back.

i'd take your husband-to-be's thoughts very much in this decision - it's his 'big day' too, and while you have to be happy, so does he...
