What type of soil should be used for Zarbara plant?
Does it require any sun light or it should be kept in semi shade?
I have tried red soil and red soil with manure etc but the plant does not grow or does not yield big flowers. Since it is very delicate plant what type of pesticide need to be applied.

Do you mean Zebra plant? http://www.q7.com/~erasmus/images/indoor_plants/2005/smaller_zebra_plant_blooming-2005-04.jpg

Red soil? Clay? Clay is terrible for growing anything. Try MiracleGro potting soil.

You don't need pesticide unless there are obvious signs of insect infestation.
