Happiness comes from satisfaction and satisfaction comes from acceptance...... acceptance of any event depends both on our own inclinations and attitude as well as the external reality of that event. Happiness is ultimately a state of mind, but it is heavily dependent on our expectations and the results. It requires a highly spiritual approach to reduce the influence of expectations and results..... I would therefore hesitate to say that happiness is JUST a state of mind.

Happiness does come from your head, or your heart, whichever feels right. When people say money can't buy happiness, that needs a little qualifying. Money buys peace of mind and a feeling of security. I believe a person who is struggling to make ends meet, doesn"t feel very happy. But true happiness is found in one's interaction with others. Family is a major source of joy, at least it should be. Sharing your life with others, friends, co- workers, neighbors can bring a large measure of happiness. The best part of the whole idea is that you can feel happiness in almost every single aspect of your life. One of the best ways to stay in the happy zone is to be satisfied with what you have and not fuss about something you can't have.

I think happiness is a state of mind based on how I lilve my life. If I am okay with who I am and what i'm doing they i am happy. When i don't like the things I'm doing them i become unhappy. If i treat people with kindness and keep trying to grow as a person...then i am happy. It's a state of mind based on my actions

Yes it is a state of mind because you know you can change your mind about something and if you think hard, you can also change your emotions. As people say, "You are as happy as you make up your mind to be" and that supports my answer.

Happiness is not just a state of mind..joyful existence is the most basic nature of that which is called as mind..every thing that provides even for one hundredth fraction of time in which this bliss is manifested becomes addictive for mind..there is in reality nothing like man, animal, life, death, matter or wave..these are all terms coined by different minds at different 'TIME' and taught to us..look around..whatever is there has no name..and you know well that SEEING happens only when LIGHT RAYS fall on your EYES after getting REFLECTED from that which '"YOU" SEE.. anyway it has to be your efforts now to know more..read something from philosophy or quantum physics..they are the same things..

Yes. I believe in the statement wholeheartedly. Happiness is a state of mind that can be altered by outside influences if we let them influence it.
A prosperous man having all the luxuries at his command can be comfortable yet unhappy, if his mind is always involved in discomforting thoughts as to how to remain one up in the competition....
On the other hand a Fakir(ascetic), who has not a penny to his name, living frugally with only basic needs met, can remain happy and carefree. But the moment he lets greed or other negative thoughts enter his mind his happiness can vanish..
That's why it is advised to 'count your blessings' in order to remain happy and content with your lot by keeping your mind in control/check. (easier said than done. Still, not an unachievable feat)...

It depends and that is the problem with todays science.Well it depends with the situation in.You can induce it by changing your state of ming. You know going to the happy place or simply relaxing. But it can also be caused by the enviroment surrounding you.If all is well with every aspect of your life then there is a feeling of well being which can also be called happiness.I hope I helped.

From what I understand, your brain sends out chemicals that make you feel relaxed but still at attention, and emotions section of your brain reacts to the chemicals giving you the feeling of happiness. But psycologically, yes, it's a state of mind.

There's not much to explain... happiness is a state of mind BY DEFINITION.
"Happiness is an emotion in which one experiences feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy. "
