do you think it is too late to change doctors. I know its kind of late but I HATE my doctors office. I called them for my results yesterday to make sure everything is O.K with my health and the babys and the RUDE nurse told me that when I come in for an apointment the doctor always tells me but my appointment isnt until next tuesday. ( I am seeing the doctor every two weeks still? most pregnant women see the doctor every week at 7-8 months) Its just the way she said it like I am borthering her or something. I WENT OFF! Last time I had a problem they didnt even call me to let me know I need treatment! I called ABOUT A MONTH LATER..? ! and when I brought it up to the doctor HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT?! I am just having a bad experience with this office and the location is not the great for me right now...but the hopsital is said to be one of the best. My thing is DONT TELL ME WHEN I SHOULD CALL AND ASK FOR RESULTS! I COULD GO INTO LABOR AT ANYTIME AND I WANT TO BE PREPARED

You can always change doctor's. If you want to change I would suggest doing so ASAP as you are getting close and would like your doctor to be familiar with you before you go into labor.

Please remember these two things...

Nurses are people too. They constantly deal with people who are scared and anxious and not knowledgeable about their own bodies and conditions. They can have a bad day. Maybe that nurse just learned her mother died and was upset (not trying to make excuses, just realize if it was a one time issue or a pattern of behavior).

Doctor's are human too. As a matter of fact, by definition, half of the doctors out there graduated in the bottom half of their class. They should be more aware of each individual's situation, but they get busy too. If everything has been normal with you, you might blend into the background of his mind.

If it really bothers you, change doctors. Medical care is a service and you (or your insurance co.) are paying them, so be comfortable with the service you are getting.

good luck!

You need to call the office and leave a message for the Dr. to call you directly. Too often people are intimidated by Dr.s. But this is about your baby and that is the most important thing. When you speak to the doctor and let him/her know your concerns. In a respectful way, you need to let him/her know how you were treated by the staff.
The next time you go for your appointment, have your questions written down - When will my appointments become more frequent? How soon can I expect my test results? Also - write down all the answers that the DR. gives you.
