poetry.com is an ugly scam. Even if your poem is no good at all (most of the stuff they publish is awful), they'll tell you it's great, then they'll put it in a book with lots of other bad poems and try to sell you copies of the book at ridiculously high prices. Then they'll probably try to sell you your own poem engraved on a plaque, printed on a mouse pad, and Lord knows what else. They'll try to get you to pay huge sums to attend bogus poetry conventions. They don't care about the art of poetry; all they care about is squeezing as much money out of you as they possibly can. Avoid them.
If you're just looking for a place to share your poems with others, take a look at postpoems.com and everypoet.com. Either of those might be what you're looking for.
In the Poetry Free For All section at everypoet.com, you'll find poetry workshops where you can get feedback, criticism, and advice on improving your work. A word of warning -- even in the lowest level workshops for beginners, you need to cultivate a thick skin, because people will be brutally frank in their comments. And the intensity of the critique heats up as you move to higher level workshops. It's best to lurk and read for a while before deciding to put your creations out there for comment. Workshopping isn't for everybody. You might be happier on the sections of the postpoems.com and everypoet.com sites devoted just to sharing your poems.
