i recently Purchased motherboard
Asus m2a-vm
and it is ddr2 but if i bought Asus 8600GT 512MB DDR3
will it work in my motherboard or not??

Should work fine, i believe you are confusing RAM with the GDDR3 memory on the video card. However i would not buy the 8600GT. The new Radeon HD 3850 will blow away the 8600 at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161211 for $180. If you can save up for it, it'll be worth it.

It should work. Do not confuse system RAM on the motherboard with memory onboard the graphics card. They need NOT BE THE SAME.
