Those are some great bands! But what about these well known (in Australia) hard rock and progressive rock bands from the 70's;

AC/DC the biggest band to come out of Australia and perhaps the second biggest is BeeGees, two of the all time greatest bands among others.

AC/DC is the only one I really recognize. I'm a bit "older" than the average Yahoo!Answer user, so I'm not into the younger generation's music scene.

Well even though English by birth, I'd say the Bee Gees are the best band to come out of Australia, though I'm not sure they qualify.....other wise I'll go with Men at Work or Keith Urban.

uhmmm....they have bands in Australia? I choose AC/DC since i have a fond appreciation and respect for alternating current & direct current.

Oh, I didn't know Bee Gees and AC/DC were from Australia. Actually, I liked Rick Springfield very much, but he was a solo singer... Ah, yes! Inxs. I loved them.
