Low pressure area is a region where the mean sea level pressure decreases from the periphery to the centre. At surface levels, more air flows into the low pressure region than flows out of it which is called convergence. The wind blow in an anti-clockwise direction around it in the Northern Hemisphere and at surface levels they are deflected towards the low by about 30 degrees over land and 10 degrees over sea.Low pressure areas are the regions of bad weather with cloud, rain and strong winds.

Area with less number of (air) molecules is a low pressure area, Area with large number of (air) molecules is a high pressure area. When land/ocean gets heated, the warm air rises up leaving less number of air molecules making it a low pressure area. So, a high pressure area would eventually compensate for the low pressure area by sending pockets of air in the direction of the low pressure area. Thats the reason we have monsoons.

The answer is 'C'.The reason is given below. An air parcel is usually acted by (1) pressure gradient force(2) Coriolis force and (3) the centrifugal force if the isobars(lines connecting places of equal pressure)are curved. In case of the straight isobars only the pressure gradient force and the coriolis force act resulting in the flow of wind along the isobars. If the isobars are curved, centrifugal force also comes into the picture and the resultant wind becomes anti-clockwise over low pressure areas and clockwise in the high pressure areas in the Northern Hemisphere.
