How do you decorate your home for the holidays?

How do you decorate your home for the holidays? I usually put up a fake tree & decorate it & put up stockings.

I go crazy decorating for Christmas, it's my favorite. Some times I use a fake tree sometimes I use a real one, I am always changing the decorations....I kinda over do it! ♥

Where do I start? I love Christmas! I put up a fake tree and decorate it with really unique and pretty decorations and ribbon and lights. I put red, green and gold table-clothes on all the tables, towels w/ snowmen and Santa Claus on them in the bathroom, Christmas wreaths, mistletoe, Christmas dolls and pillows on the couches, and Christmas plates to eat off of on Christmas day.

oh i looooooove christmas time! each year each member of our family gets an ornament for christmas, and they've all been added to the tree...we always put up our tree and COVER it w/ the ornaments. these are ornaments from 45+ years ago, all the way up to the present time, just covering our tree with memories =) our tree is also decked in white lights, then this beautiful red velvet ribbon trimmed w/ gold that starts as a bow near the top of the tree and then the rest of the ribbon wraps around and cascades all the way down the tree. we finish it off w/ tiny bows and candy canes, then of course the presents! we also decorate a wreath for the front door, put bows outside under each window, put icicle lights around the outside of the house, and set up a mini nativity scene inside on our entertainment center ontop of real pine for some of that extra pine scent. we have alllll kinds of other christmas odds and ends that we put out too, our stockings of course, candle holders, vases, figurines, red things, green things, just everything you can imagine, we go crazy! christmas in our house is just beautiful and festive!! =)

Real trees smell really nice. Christmas lights, stockings, deep red adornments. Apple spice, hazelnut, or vanilla candles make the home cozy and also sweet smelling.

I do for all the trip journeys. I particularly have a Shamrock wreath on my door and that i'm no longer Irish and not even close, even though it particularly is a kinfolk custom as my mom consistently adorned for each trip. We even deliver enjoying cards to a minimum of one yet another for all the trip journeys and that's something that folk hardly even do for Christmas anymore.
