And could a human possibly be capable of understanding truly and completely God's nature?
Can a creature completely understand a much higher "being" than it/him/herself ? A being who carries apparently something inside, which the creature does not carry. Animals have a soul but no spirit. So humans have a spirit but we are not divine.
What are your thoughts about that? Thank you.

okay, ya ready for this one?
I think before i put my 2.5 cents in, I feel I should give a little background. There's been a lot of spiritual Truths throughout the ages that have been quite litterally stripped of most/all original meaning because it was re-interpreted and/or translated in very basic-minded terms somewhere down the road by a more basic-minded group of individuals or culture. And I think the subject of the true spiritual nature of nonhuman beings is one of those. I believe that all nonhuman beings have: an aura (look into kirlian photography and check out some pics of animals), chakras (get a good pendulum and learn how to use it to detect chakras--btw, best pendulum I've EVER used is sold here, and no this isn't my website: http://www.aetherius.org/index.cfm?app=content&SectionID=70&PageID=207).... and thus, a non-physical counterpart. A soul. Further evidence of the soul-body of animals exists in conclusive scientific findings done on differences in actual WEIGHT between a few moments before death and immediately after death. The bodies became instantly lighter (a few ounces) at the moment of death in both human and nonhuman patients (which also proves what the metaphysician has known for many moons about the *physical* nature of energy & the soul).

Nonhuman beings are not individualized in Spirit and soul like we are. That is the difference. Doesn't make them less real, less Divine, less important. Their spiritual potential is more limited than ours (i know, hard to believe, seeing how much more generally stupid and spiritually-blind the majority of humanity appears to be). They are younger souls, more closely-bonded to the Mother. We humans are the older souls who have proven themselves ready for soul and Spirit individualization--total and complete control over, and KARMIC RESPONSIBILITY FOR, our own evolution back to God from that point forward. Humans were ORIGINALLY supposed to help their nonhuman brothers to evolve spiritually. Obviously we haven't done much to fulfill our part of the contract. To busy falling into ignorance and materialism over the ages, I guess. Humanity--a backward race if every you want an example of one!

Though even with this major problem, they still are helped to evolve just by being in our presence--ESPECIALLY when we love them and teach them with kindness. You notice the individualization-process with nonhumans happens something like this, usually in this order:
1) Interaction with humans (like a wild animal getting used to human presence in their territory)
2) domestication by and bonding with humans
3) A domestic breed of animal (NATURALLY, since BIRTH) having stepping out of their typical (group-soul) personality traits and taking on more independant thought/feeling/action. Guess you could say, the less like their own species/breed they are, the closer to being human they are.

Now as far as the Spirit, well let me put it this way... it seems a bit unlikely to me that any creature or thing that has come from a Divine Source could ever exist without any aspect of that Self-Same Divinity somehow being a part of that being?? ALL things animate and inanimate in the infinite universe must have that original flame of Divinity (look into the ancient vedic scripts and the "Great Outbreath" which created and gave life to all things which were all aspects of Itself, might se where I'm coming from here). In reality we ALL are already (i.e., every rock, tree, mountain, animal, alien, human, planet) Divine, and we (the souls) are using our physical and subtle bodies and consciousness to journey & evolve through experience back to Divinity (the Spirit).

Check out the book: "Dogs that know when their owners are coming home: And other unexplained powers of animals". Also do some reading up on telepathic animal communication ("Learning their language" is a good, well-researched book). It's been stated by countless proven "animal communicators" that animals do remember their past lives just as easily as any other memory, most can see much more of the "non-physical" realm than we generally allow ourselves to see, and they are aware of and recognize Divinity/"God"--though not in an intellectual or DOGmatic way ;)

Adding all this stuff up tells me that they're aware of and capable of much much more than we humans tend to give them credit for. And also kinda gives us an idea of just how far we've fallen from where we should be and who we really are.

Interesting thougths, but i don't understand my cat, and neither do i understand ants, or sharks, or squids. So going by your theory, then God does not understand me, which is quite possible i suppose.

I agree, that if there were a God, then we couldn't begin to understand the nature of that God. How could we begin to understand the nature of an omnipotent being? i don't even understand my own nature a lot of the time, or the people around me, and i dont know why i am here or what, exactly, i am.

And why do you think that animals don't have a spirit? Animals are spirit creatures too.. havent you walked through a forest at night?
;-)

All the best,

There is no living thing on earth that is "higher" or "lower" than another.
Those "creatures" of whom you speak with such unfounded certainty as having no spirit: They are without avarice, hatred, deceit, manipulation, bigotry, & many other pejoratives so innate in humans.
How do you define spirit? Soul?
Animals understand human nature; thankfully they are not "us." You could learn much about being honest & "humane" from these lower creatures.
God does not have a NATURE.
Your thinking is three tiered, divisive & illogical.

well....hmm...i don't consider humans to be the "higher" being. so many animals actually possess certain things which the humans don't. And what is the difference between a soul and a spirit :-(
When we say we are the children of God. we consider ourselves as a part of the divine. until and unless God doesn't come and explains His/Her true nature, we all will just always try to understand His/Her nature, till then what is true and what is false about God's nature, can never be decided.

Of course certain animals can understand our ways and have links with us. My cat for instance knows how to behave in the middle of the night if he wants to be let out. He gets up on the window ledge high above the bed and simply dive-bombs us until one of us gives in and gets up and lets the little so and so out. Also the rainbow lorikeets that visit every day morning and afternoons and keep squawking at us through the windows knowing that we will give in and take them some bread or a little bit of apple to shut them up. We can tune in to some animals and they can tune in to us. Even a simple thing like a dog scratching at a door to be let in or out well they know we have to open the door for them. They are not stupid. They can also understand love and affection towards them: birds, dogs, cats, horses etc. etc. and also un derstand if we are mad at them. What's this animals have a soul but no spirit. Do you believe this or were you told this??

i think god is in all of us. what i mean by god is infinity. i think sleeping is proof of eternity. Am I capable as a human to understand the concept of infinity, no because we live in a materialistic world, where everything came from something, and that something has an end. We travel space with our minds, in our minds we have unlimited possiblities.

The concept of humans being a higher form of life is nonsense. Therefore the basis of the question is nonsense.

We are animals! I think you have it mixed up. Most people probably think that other animals have a spirit but not a soul! Meditate and you can feel the answer!

When we are unable to even understand our own self fully and correctly, how can anyone expect or claim to understand God? The truth is that all living beings are so necessarily inconsistent and unpredictable that understanding any being in totality is impossible!!
