You know that Time before you were born. The time before your earliest memory. It just doesn't exist, you just never were.

That time of not being will come again when you're dead. Possibly for Ever. Never again will you walk or think. You'll never have another idea, or something to do, or someone to love. You'll just be Gone like millions of people before you. Dead in the Dirt.

It's hard to wrap your head around never being alive again. thinking about it...it's not surprising people need religion and things like that to keep a hold on reality, so they don't GO crazy and kill themselves, because honestly...Life has no purpose. we're all dead anyway.

If you can get your hands on an old book : "Recollections of Death" by Michael B Sabom. It may open your mind to more possibilities.
Dr Sabom is a cardiologist who spent some years studying NDEs (Near Death Experiences) in patients. It is a scientific study and covers the bases very well. I'm now well convinced that there is something after it all, and was perhaps something before.
But have a look for yourself and make your own mind up

how do you spell f u n e r a l an anagram of (real fun) and thats what i want my end to be like for all my family and friends i don't believe in reincarnation or heaven or hell all of us should be grateful to be given the time we have you could say some will never be born and don't have this living experience make the most of your life and be happy help others make friends its all what ever you make it
there is no afterlife or the people i know who have died would be sending me signs and even if they did i wouldn't freak out i would just accept it ,nothing suprises me anymore i had a near death experience and i literally died but a girl saved me and you know what i saw at that second in time

nothing there is nothing well thats what i think

most people who died or had near death experiences reported they had no idea they were dead. They actually saw themselves laying where they died at. I wouldn't say they were ghost but it makes you ponder the question.
HOwever, older people say they aren't afraid to die because they said they lived long enough. Also, its always the same thing: "sleep with as many people as you can", "Do everything you want to do in your life in one year and then see what you want next", "the only thing that changed this past 95 years was the clothes!", "The only way to have a friend is to be friend"

"Men in White Apparel," Ann Ree Colton, "Testimony of Light," Helen Greaves, "The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis, "The Masters and Their Retreats," Mark Prophet, "Life before Life," Jim Tucker, M.D., "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, http://www.divinecosmos.com "Reborn in the West: The Reincarnation Masters," Vicki MacKenzie are all worthwhile on this topic.

It will be the cessation of consciousness, and of the animal existence that creates consciousness.
