Slovakia used to be a part of Czechoslovakia.
But In 20th century Czechoslovakia was divided into Slovakia and Czechs Republic

It was divided in '93. I visited the western half in '05...Czech Republic. Prague to be exact. Beautiful countryside, interesting city.
