I have read in the book that the population of domesticated animals has grown. But how? It seems very interesting.

Very simple task.

For poultry for example: A hen and a rooster to mate can reproduce in a month or two and can add 10 or more population at a time. Hens can lay more than 10 eggs and hatches to bring new hicks in 21 days and after a short period goes on egg laying again. The chicks grow fast and sexually matures in about 18-20 weeks. In a year, the population can grow in hundreds provide the chickens are properly cared - good environment, sufficient feedings, protected from predators, etc.

For livestock: For example- Raise female cattles and breed them (artificial insemination are more successful). In a year, one female cattle delivers one or two. And the cycle goes on repeating increasing the population.

For other domesticated animals applies the same principle. Other farm animals like hogs are easy to breed as well and population can increase so fast.

Animal husbandry is a huge industry, and that is what is allowing the rate of farm animal production to boom.
With regards to poultry, 95% of turkeys are produced by AI (aritificial insemination).
Pig farms will have a couple boars on hand that sperm are collected from, then the sows are bred by AI.
Ranchers with small cattle herds, who don't want to maintain a bull, AI is very common practice. It also allows for breeding of specific characteristics.
Of course there is still lots of animal breeding by mating, but the practice of AI is a major factor.
