Wikipedia is not perfect, but neither is any other reference, including Encyclopedia Brittanica. I have posted a comment on the talk page of that article and corrected the entry, as that is the way wiki works.

I have used Wikipedia for hundreds of references, and this is the first error I have found.

well im not too sure, but technically, HUMANS have 23 chromosomes in their gametes. during fertilisation, the original number of chromosomes, 46, will be restored when both male and female gametes fuse. hence it's actually the HUMANS that have 46. im not sure bout cows, but im guessing an animal like that would probably have a different number of chromosomes. so yeah, i'd say go with the two science sites.

As mentioned I would be very leary of wikipedia. While some basic content is okay much of it is unfiltered crap. For sure you should go with the two science web sites.

When I just read the first part of the question I thought maybe you meant in the bible, thought you were finally coming to your senses ;)

I would have to say the two science websites because anyone can write anything they want on Wikipedia. It's edited by the public.

having worked on a dairy farm or two, all I know for sure is that most cows have four teats and they poop a lot.

like the last guy said, I'd go with the science stuff---even I, yes, ME, have put stuff into Wikipedia, so you know they'll let ANYONE contribute...

It depends on the number of nipples they have on their BOOBS....

In your case.... since you have less than 3 nipples you have 46 chrosomosomes... So, somewhat a human being....
