I live in a very liberal state, and the radio here sucks. I love metallica, and AC/DC but not 20 times in a day. There are a lot really good songs that dont make it to the radio because of Corp. america. I also think alot of good bands become one hit wonders becasue of that fact. When a song comes out it just gets absolutely hammered with air time and instead of making me wanna buy it, i wanna turn the station but even that doesn't help...same damn thing on the next station. Thoughts ? oopinions? and yes i know the "if you dont like dont listen to it" ideals but im kinda screwed with only one rock station

I don't believe it is your liberal state but what they call as you did corporate America! They are supporting such rags as billboard and variety! As one person said they should let us the listener choose the songs (wish I could get someone to play "The Martian Boogie" by Brownsville Station)! Never hear some of the other great oldies either and it is true there are many out there.I am President of the Entertainment Club at American International University so yes i feel your pain.I miss it when the radio stations that call themselves "Classic Rock" refuse to list some songs. When is the last time you heard the band Sweet? Head East? Atlanta Rhythm Section? I could go on forever with some classic acts but you certainly gave me a good subject to add to the club

totally agree but what do you do if you are a dj at a station with no sponsors.you won t be there for too long
even if you played good music. i have been on a station for 17 years and do play alot of the non hits from
doo-wop to some 80 s have gotten very little money for it and the best thing for me to do was to donate
my time ask for no sponsors and keep doing what i like that s why i m probably still there.i have a 47%
listening audience of a town of 50,000. i live in del rio tx maybe you ve heard of the town.lt is the home of
non other than Wolfman Jack.

i exchange into particularly questioning approximately this the day previous quite. I consistently puzzled if MLB could ever try this and this is humorous it got here up now. i think of this is exciting yet probable no longer interior the superb interest of communities. I recommend reckoning on how human beings look at it, faith can play an substantial place in human beings's lives yet having days dedicated is a splash fuzzy. it particularly is respectful are not getting me incorrect, yet i do no longer think of faith could desire to be stated in baseball video games as human beings may well be quite disrespectful in the direction of particular non secular communities. some could even boycott the video games as an occasion. Baseball video games could desire to easily stay public, if somebody passes away, a team could desire to have a 2d of silence and all yet introducing faith days is a splash stupid. i'm Russian Orthodox as an occasion yet i does not desire the Blue Jays to have a "Russian Orthodox" nighttime on the Roger's Centre. I recommend it may particularly conflict with baseball.

You're lucky if you don't live near Philly. Especially when a band is coming to town. They play songs ad nauseum to the point where the show is a letdown in some cases.
And the feral butt-munching by middle-aged DJ's is hard to listen to as well.

they all work off of playlists. some stations you can listen to at the same time the next day (or next hour) and hear the same song.
I wish there more 1950's and 1960's style DJ's that spun whatever they felt like, had a personality and took requests from the listening audience.

Yeah, whenever I think of todays radio i always think of the lyrics to The Last DJ.
Well you can’t turn him into a company man
You can’t turn him into a whore
And the boys upstairs just don’t understand anymore
Well the top brass don’t like him talking so much
And he won’t play what they say to play
And he don’t want to change what don’t need to change
And there goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say
Hey, hey, hey
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ
