It's a One Day International match (50-50).

This is my Asia 11 -

( 4 Indians , 3 Sri Lankans , 3 Pakistaniz , 1 Bangladeshi )

1) Sachin Tendulkar
2) Sanath Jayasuriya
3) Shahid Afridi
4) Mohammed Yousuf
5) Yuvraj Singh
6) Mahendra Singh Dhoni ( Captain , aggressive)
7) Irfan Pathan
8) Chaminda Vaas
9) Mushraffe Mortaza
10) Mutiah Muralitharna
11) Umra Gul

( Asif, Sangakara , Ashraful , Dravid reserve players)

Rest of the world 11 -

1) Mathew Hayden
2) Chris Gayle
3) Ricky Ponting ( Captain, of course. who else? )
4) Kevin Pieterson
5) Michael Hussey
6) Adam Gilchrist ( sorry ,lol. I want him @ 6)
7) Jacob Oram
8) Shaun Pollock
9) Brad Hogg ( sub-continental players struggle against'im)
10) Nathan Bracken
11) Brett Lee / Dale Steyn / Shane Bond

(Reserve - James Anderson, Dwayne Bravo , Daniel Vettori, Makhaya Ntini)

I think ROW 11 will beat Asian 11 on a bouncy pitch but on a sub-continental batting beauty, Asia 11 will have the edge

Cheers!!!

Believe me folks, i actually included Jaques Kallis in my team.

Jacob Oram was always going to be in my world 11. so i had to choose 1 out of Hussey & Kallis.
I choosed Hussey in plave of Kallis.

No worry, Kallis is 100& certain in my world test 11.

How are you going to get an unbiased response to this question. Both teams are going to have very good teams, one obvious difference I see is the rest of the world team will be able to get along with each other. Thinking about the teams, I can't see the Asian 3 teams competing against the 5 teams from the rest of the world! Pitch conditions would be crucial, Asia would have a chance on spinning wickets but nowhere else! How about a venue where everyones safety isn't in question. Or 3 in Asia to make up for their pooled team disadvantage and 2 form the rest of the world. Fact the Asian bowlers just don't match up!

Hi,

Good teams , but then i dont agree with you that asis xi will loose in bouncy tracks ..Both Sachin and Sanath can explode in any kind of pitch and then if wickets fall early you have a solid middle order to back up.. (I would have prefered Dravid instead of Afridi) ,.. and we have a quite a good combination of pace and spin (sachin, sanath, Murali)..

MY Ratinng would

60-40 to asia xi on bouncy tracks

70-30 to asia xi on Sucb-continental pitches.. The world xi is a good team and they have few good players of spin too(peterson , hussey, Gayle , Gilchrist)

It will be a Closely fought contest...

Cheers

Man u're smart.....i mean u've chosen teams in such a way that it can only be a Tie... + u've chosen all the current playing cricketers..... BUT i would've chosen Jaques Kallis instead of Oram.. because he is only slow for 20Twenty but in a 50 over game he can not be ignored & he's a better bowler than Oram..

Shane Bond and J.Kallis are notable omissions.
As stated the result depends on the pitch.
