We have read considerably criticism of the Portuguese Police in the UK Press again. Importantly that they did not secre the McCanns holiday appartment, a potential crime scene on the night that she disappeared.

But it seems a lot of the criticism is with hindsight, as on the night of 3rd May practically the whole area were looking for a child they believed may have just wandered off as the parents had left Madeleine alone and not locked the doors. The Portuguese Police did not treat the abduction possibility serious at first (probably becuase Tanner came out with all sorts of stories) until laer that night.

The McCanns themselves did not help the situation, why did they invite so many non officials to look inside the apartment ? what for ? Classic 'fake abduction' action is that the scene be trashed so no DNA evidence of an abductor or rather non abductor can be found. In addition the Holiday resort staff washed everything, huh ? what were they thinking of ?

Now just a Blame Game ?

I blame the McCanns for trashing the crime scene, inviting all and sundry in, making sure vital evidence was destroyed. What were they playing at? What they wanted the Police to believe is quite different from the truth and so their clever plan went into play...... How clever they have been, with their mighty force behind them, power and money, it says it all... They are all vile, and as hard as stone.........

You know we are all human and prone to making mistakes ,so I am not saying the PJ is perfect and they may have made mistakes in conducting the investigation but initially it's the mccann's that allowed god knows how many people into their apartment before alerting the police hence the compromised crime scene. Since the beginning of this incident the mccann's have done nothing but blame eveyone else and it's high time both gerry and kate take responsibility for their actions.

Considering the McCanns are without fault and appear to wish to run the entire show and know so much about police investigations (consider Gerry's holiday reading materials) I am surprised they didn't think of stopping all their mates running around their apartment touching everything.

But I seriously doubt their first assumption was an abductor - I reckon it was 'oh **** she has wandered off and we will get done for child neglect'.

I agree. Why were all those people allowed by the Mccanns to go in and out of the apartment, and as the children had been left alone with the door open it is logical that the police would first think that she had just wandered off to look for her absent parents. I think the Mc's did everything they could to sabotage the crime scene.

complicated a splash - What are you particularly asking? Are you asking if that's the 1st pictures of the crime scene launched? (Crime scene being your words not mine). Are you as us if apparently like against the regulation scente? feels like a room of a holiday apt with the beds stripped to me, that's all.

How long does it take to murder, cover up the crime, dispose of the body fake an abduction? You need careful planning which takes time and the McCanns didn't have it.
If my daughter was missing, I'm not sure I would have thought about dna and future police investigations.
I'm not saying the McCanns are innocent (although I believe they are), but I am saying that the facts can be interpreted both ways. And the police, who are after all the professionals, have to carry the can for this, and not the McCanns.
Especially the fact that the bedding was washed after the McCanns left the apartment. If the McCanns were able to plan ahead, they would have had it washed themselves.

17pdr -- ignore them, 17pdr, for they know not what they are saying :-) I like a good mystery and I will sty and replay...
I agree with what youi say. We are all wise with insight. Themost importnat thing is that the main suspects aren't around to be questioned so, as far as I can see, the investigation has reached a dead end simple because of that alone.--- the McCanns are not around anymore and not police forcde in the world acn solve a crime if their main suspects have fled the jusrisdiction.

the DNA evidence would be fine, in reality it is a cover up, that and only that is the reason why the DNA is inconclusive

You know? i agree with you!
This truly has become just a sick blame game...

Do you seriously think that people, strangers & friends, would have been invited to search a room in which a crime had just been committed????? IF a crime was committed??????
