Benefits from whom? The US?

Unless England is a suspect classification under the Constitution AND a person living within the boundaries of the United States, I dont see where the discrimination could possily be. Not to mention, what benefits? Unless you are talking about the Glenfiddich Act of 1833, where the United States granted immunity to Scotland for all damages caused by the mash yeast infection of brought to the US by Scottish immigrants, I cant imagine what you are talking about.

Why is there always this Scotland /England thing? My mother was English but was more Scots than me. Centuries ago we were two seperate countries until a group of "Scots" sold us down the river. Remember England pinched our oil, decimated our heavy industries. gave the EU our fishing waters. If it wasn't for Scots inventiveness we would not enjoy a lot of the things we now take for granted. Let's stop complaining and appreciate what both sides can offer

As another person said, they have their own parliament. If there is it's positive discrimination, as I understand that pay and work etc is lower up there.
Down south we have various pay for the same jobs, plus different pensions for the areas that we live in. Pensions in some parts of Scotland are higher, as it's understood that in some parts, the life expectancy is much lower.

No, it's because the Scottish Government is allowed to set its own policies in many areas and chooses to use this discretion for socially beneficial purposes. If you want the same benefits in England tell your MPs. Or move north.

The present Scottish parliament was set up for the very purpose of ripping off the English. The Mullahs Blair and Brown,"both born in Scotland", sanctioned this act to keep their Labour voters sweet. It has now thankfully backfired and with luck Scotland will become independent and we English can then get rid of the multitude of Scots who are running and ruining the country.
