Unfortunately the Dems Mantra is to buy the "masses" vote, as apparently they think it is Up for Sale.....kinda cheapens the whole process.........but unfortunately many will fall for the bull sh*t! ....and sadly some people seem to think We Owe them, .....

Since your old enough to remember Kennedy you also remember what happened when Carter asked people to curb energy use during the OPEC embargo. In a republic you get a government as good as the people. Kennedy was talking to a generation that had saved the world as a guy that had been there. It's not just the Democrats who have gone soft it's the American people. Who else would think it's a great idea to go out to dinner and go shopping after a major terrorist attack?

It became "gimme, gimme, gimme" when the "War on Poverty" started up by LBJ handed out all kinds of government freebies , otherwise known as "entitlement programs".

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to educate liberals and other deadbeats that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I think that Democrats are afraid of the word "not."

They changed and abridged the quote to read "Ask what your country can do for you. We'll bill the wealthy for it and blame the Republicans when you don't get it."

What Conserva-Crazies want from government is, ensuring of social stability and subsidy of institutions -- all so Conservatives can feel secure. But Conservatives are whiny, they don't want to finance their feeling of security by themselves. I think that is rather pathetic. So lazy.
