Check out Web MD and see if you can find an answer there. All teenagers eat a lot but boys eat more. Does he not remember? You are a growing boy and you need lots of fuel. Do you go for regular check ups with your doctor? If you do I would have him talk to your dad. I might even ask the school nurse about it.

Eat if you are hungry. My brother is 15 too and you should see how much he eats. He'll have 15 Weetbix for breakfast(sorry I live in New Zealand, so you may not know what Weetbix are) I'm 17 and I'd have 2 or 3 for breakfast. He'll eat 3 pies for lunch. He's very active though.

Each day try to eat 5 servings (the size of your hand equals one serving) of fruit and veges.
6-8 glasses of water.
Lean meat or fish.
Avoid sugary foods and drinks.
Have a glass of milk or some yogurt too.

An average teenager eats from two to five servings of dairy foods every day.

Allow yourself one treat every day maybe two or three on special occasions. A piece of cake, fudge etc should be the size of two of your fingers (well thats what I do so it's not too high in calories.)

Don't set a fixed # of fruits and veggies but just sneak them into your diet whenever you can. Eat them as snacks between meals and try to get them into your meals too.

Inactive people need 6-8 carbs per day. People who get over half an hour of excercise need 8-10 carbs per day and people who are VERY active need 10-12 or maybe even more. Talk to your doctor and read the labels to understand what a proper serving is.

Eat two to four servings of protein each day. A hot dog or a peanut butter sandwich is half a serving. A chicken breast, can of tuna or pork chop is 2 full servings.

Don't be afraid to eat full fat foods. You wanna use butter, oil, ranch, cream cheese? Just use 'em. Don't bother with the "low cal" crap. As long as you use them sparingly you shouldn't have to measure anything or count calories to maintain your weight.

Just cut what you eat in half and balance out what you eat. Eat a mix of meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables, breads, cereals and so on. It's hard to do starting out, but if you stick with it, you can adjust.

An average person should consume about 1200-1500 calories a day and be active to maintain your weight. Since you're a growing kid, you should eat healthy.
