Bonds is the only one who was subpoenaed by the original grand jury that didn't admit to using roids. All the others did and therefore did not committ perjury. Since Bonds lied under oath and the Feds have proof (including urine samples taken from the BALCO lab) they are pressing charges for 4 counts of perjury and 1 for obstruction of justice.
He put the drugs into his body, he swore under oath, and he lied about it. He failed drug tests and now he's getting punished. There really isn't anything to debate. This is a surefire deal.
Don't be an "A-Rod will never go back to the Yanks guy". People for some reason today refuse to believe the obvious because they have been lied to so many times. Well Bonds is one of those liars and he's getting what we wish we could give all those people who made us this way in the first place.

If he hadn't lied to a grand jury, he'd be free and clear, like everyone who admitted it there is. As for the government having better things to do, of course they do. But people are capable of doing more than one thing at a time. Are you saying police should only solve one crime at a time? Doctors should research cures for one disease at a time? Parents should look after only one of their children at a time? The government has lots of resources and can handle going after Barry for his crime and go after others as well.
Edit: They're not going after Sheffield and Giambi because they admitted to using steroids. Barry is the only one who lied, that is why he's been indicted.

Perjury about the roids investigation not the taking of them itself. If he has lied he will get what he deserves. He was offered immunity like Sheffield and Giambi and still broke the rules. Just because he is who he is, it doesnt exclude him from the law.

You gotta understand. This fly is abnormally huge for a fly. It will require a bazooka.
They're probably making the rounds. It's just that Barry made such a big deal that he wasn't using anything (to his knowledge). Obviously, they think that's bullshit and want him in jail next to his buddies.

They're messing with him because he lied about it. In the grand jury hearings where Bonds perjured himself, the other players who testified admitted to steroid use; Bond was the only one who lied about it.

"They are going after him [Bonds] because he lied to the Grand Jury"...
thats bs, because I dont see them going after Gary Sheffield. They didnt have the evidence and then, all of a sudden, they do. It's not like the evidence is new either, supposedly it's a failed Balco drug test from 2000. Riiiiiigghht.

Am I the only one who seems to be missing the proof that Bonds has done anything wrong? How can they charge him with lying about using steroids without proof he has?

Did you actually ever try killing a fly with a Bazooka? Not as easy as you think, nor as hard.
