Does Canada (or the UK) have an equivlent to the World Factbook or Country Studies?

I love the World Factbook and the US Country Studies

I would love to work for such a country/regional research publication such as Country Studies... but I am not an American citizen so of course I cannot work for the US Army or CIA. I would only be able to work in Canada or the UK.

Is there another publication that I may be able to work for?

Sorry it doesn't. I did a few searches and came up with absolutely nothing in comparison to the World Fact Book like you mentioned.

Canada and UK are extensively discussed in other sites like the Wikipedia which is similar to the World Factbook.
