It wasn't bad at all. You do feel a bit of a pinch but it's taking care of it after that's a pain. Good luck!

had mine done for my 18th birthday, the initial piercing didn't hurt it was a small pinch, nothing unbearable but afterwards for a few days, it was tender. after about 2 weeks my body rejected the piercing and now I have a small scar where the ring was. It all just depends on your body and how it takes to things. I went to a clean place and they had all brand new needles and everything. My body just didn't want it's belly button pierced. I now have my tongue pierced and its so much better. Nothing bad happened to it or anything! Just be sure that you goto a good piercer and they are clean. And be sure you and your piercer any questions you may have. No matter how much you may want to change your belly ring early, you must wait the full time they gave you which is usually around a month.

Well, I haven't gotten my navel pierced, but you ARE stabbing a hollow needle through your flesh, so yes, it does hurt. Basically, for professional piercings (I mean ones not done at the accessory store with a gun), they'll clean up the area, put on a clamp with loops (this will pinch and hurt), then poke the needle through. Then the stud or ring goes through, the clamp comes off, and you take really good care of it or it gets infected. Speaking of infection...
Please tell me you're getting this done professionally and a parent or guardian is taking you. If this isn't the case, don't get it done because the chances of it getting done right and hygenically just dropped considerably. Okay?

Well, I know that everyone says it doesn't hurt, but my friend got it done and she was 14, and she said it hurt like HELL. No one was aloud to touch her at school, because all of her body hurt. So i don't know if her piercing was really bad or something, but she said that it was the most pain she's ever felt. And they do get infected a lot.
But it looks cool, and if heaps of people say it doesn't hurt, go to a professional to get it done and it probably won't hurt.

I got mine done like 5 weeks ago.
It was like a pinch and it hurt for the rest of the day to like bend over, but the next day I couldn't feel it at all. I even went to dance class and was twisting and bending all over the place and it was absolutely fine. I also changed mine like 3 weeks after and I thought it would hurt, but it didn't! Definitely one of the least painful piercings I've had!

They basically pierce through the skin of your navel with a fish hook type thing. Does that sound fun? No.
